Remember Libby? Rove aka "Official A"? Hey, Over HERE!

Let's not loose sight of the ball (hammering through the fog of indictments until we get to the illegal waging of war):
The White House rebuffed calls yesterday for a staff shake-up, the firing of Karl Rove, and an apology by President Bush for the role of senior administration officials in the unmasking of CIA operative Valerie Plame Wilson.

Three days after the indictment and resignation of Vice President Dick Cheney's chief of staff, the administration said it would have to remain silent as long as there was an investigation of the leak and legal proceeding underway. Bush ignored reporters' questions during an Oval Office meeting with the prime minister of Italy, Silvio Berlusconi.

''We don't want to do anything from here that could prejudice the opportunity for there to be a fair and impartial trial," presidential spokesman Scott McClellan said.
And how is "A" (hole) these days?
Another warning sign for Rove was in the phrasing of Friday's indictment of Libby. Fitzgerald referred to Rove in those charging papers as a senior White House official and dubbed him "Official A." In prosecutorial parlance, this kind of awkward pseudonym is often used for individuals who have not been indicted in a case but still face a significant chance of being charged. No other official in the investigation carries such an identifier.
This is good--isn't this the same WH staff Bush years ago said he wanted to stay well within the laws? A staff from which he would not condone even the HINT of impropriety:
MR. McCLELLAN: -- that suggests White House involvement. There are anonymous reports all the time in the media. The President has set high standards, the highest of standards for people in his administration. He's made it very clear to people in his administration that he expects them to adhere to the highest standards of conduct. If anyone in this administration was involved in it, they would no longer be in this administration.
Do 'ya think Libby is a loose cannon? Did this all on his own? He-llo-ooo?
I guess it's a matter of the definition of "impropriety"...
