Fetal "Pain Bill" Advancing

Do they think we don't know this?:
"The state Assembly voted Tuesday to send to Gov. Jim Doyle a bill that requires doctors to inform women seeking abortions that a fetus is developed enough after 20 weeks to feel pain."
Notification, waiting times, sonograms and now this. Why don't they start drafting laws that require doctors to tell hospital patients what their odds are of dying of medical mal-practice?

Is it only beleagured women legislators have time to harass and saddle with these unconsitutional (like it or not) barriers to a medical procedure?

[UPDATE] 11-10-05
The bill, passed 61-34, had already been approved by the Senate and now goes to Gov. Jim Doyle, who has already promised to veto it.
